    In Tokyo, a friend took me to an excellent wine bar called Bistrot La Marie Jeanne, in the Ginza district. Upon learning that I was a champagne specialist, proprietor Yasuo Izumisawa proceeded to dig out some unusual bottles from his seemingly inexhaustible stash.
