• Philipponnat Clos des Goisses, Petits Cintres

    The Clos des Goisses, a 5.5-hectare monopole of Philipponnat, is widely considered to be the finest vineyard site in Champagne. The house has been producing a single-vineyard champagne from the Clos since the mid-1930s, and today under the direction of Charles Philipponnat, the wine is arguably better than ever.

    The Clos itself is divided into a number of different parcels, each of which have their own individual names and characters. (See this article for more information on the Clos, as well as a map.)
