I recently tasted some 2010 vins clairs
with David Léclapart
, and found them very promising. The blend for L’Amateur, a wine that I’ve had difficulty with over the last couple of releases, was excellent, with a racy tension and succulent richness, and L’Artiste showed the expected minerality and finesse. The Apôtre was outstanding, demonstrating a tremendous energy and complex, soil-driven vigor, and if it retains this character in bottle, it will be a fantastic wine.
