• Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Latitude Extra Brut

    has renamed its two non-vintage cuvées, formerly known as Tradition and Blanc de Blancs. While the essential concepts of the blends remain the same, the new names serve to highlight the differences in the terroirs that each is based upon.

    The Tradition has historically come from vineyards on the southern side of Vertus, where the soils are slightly heavier. Both chardonnay and pinot noir can be found here (Vertus, you'll remember, was renowned for its pinot noir in the past), and Pierre Larmandier includes a small portion of pinot noir in this blend (less than ten percent). As of this year, Larmandier has changed the name of this cuvée to Latitude, in reference to the "horizontal" nature of the selection
