    Yesterday I was out in Louis Roederer’s vineyards in Avize, looking at their parcels in the lieu-dit of Pierre Vaudon. Like many vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, and indeed, across the Champagne region, Pierre Vaudon has sections that are affected by court-noué, or grapevine fanleaf virus, and some of Roederer’s vines here show fairly pronounced symptoms.
