    Apologies for the interruption of the blog this week. There was a server problem, and due to the American holiday it took slightly longer than usual to get it resolved. But everything should be functioning properly now.

    Speaking of America, I was pleased to see that The NoMad Hotel in New York City has its own label of champagne, created by Billecart-Salmon. Made of 40 percent meunier, 35 percent pinot noir and 25 percent chardonnay, it has no dosage, and its clean, sophisticated flavor
